My First Christmas

My first Christmas has come and gone, and what a Christmas it was. It was extra special for me because it was my first, and because I had some family from America come to see me. I finally got to meet my Grandad Westbrook, and Auntie Heather came with her friend Lynette. I loved having so many people to play with! It made a change from it just being me and Mummy all day. One day Mummy, Auntie Heather, Lynette, and I went to the city of Birmingham to see the German Christmas market, and on another day we made Christmas cookies, but Mummy wouldn't let me have any. We all went to Daddy's work to go ice skating on Christmas Eve, and on Christmas day I got more presents than I knew what to do with. They were all really nice, but I preferred playing with the wrapping paper and the ribbons.
Everyone is gone now and things are back to normal. I probably won't remember my first Christmas, but I sure wish I could because it was great.

It was six months ago today...

...that I was born! I can't believe it really. Life is so much more interesting now than it was six months ago. I can do so many more things. I can

sit up by myself,

roll onto my tummy

and eat solid food.

I am getting really big too. I am growing so fast that I get a new wardrobe every three months and Mummy says that I am not her little baby anymore. It won't be long before I can get around all by myself and play with all of the things that are just out of reach right now. I have enjoyed these past six months and I hope that the next six will be even better.

Two Women and a Little Lady

This week was very exciting for me because I finally got to meet some more of my family from America. My Grandma and Great Auntie Debbie flew all the way to England just to see me. I had a lot of fun with them. They showed me how to make chocolate chip cookies and cut out pattern pieces, and when my teeth were bothering me they let me chew on their fingers which helped me feel better. We sang songs together and they read me stories. One day they went to work with Daddy to see the castle, but I don't think they had as much fun as they did when they were with me. Mummy and Daddy say that America is far away so I can't see them as much as I would like to, but they are going to take me there one day to visit them. I can't wait!

My Dad

It's my daddy's birthday this week so I thought I would say a few words about him. My daddy is so much fun. We play lots of games together and he is always making me laugh. I love it when he sings to me even though some of his songs don't make any sense. People always tell me that I look like him. They make it sound like a bad thing because I'm a girl, but I don't think it is because I think he is very good looking. I always feel very safe when I'm with him and I know that he'll always take care of me. So Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you!

My First Holiday

This week Daddy didn't go to work (which made me very happy because I miss him when he is gone) instead he took Mummy and I to an area of England called the Cotswolds. It is a very beautiful part of the country and I really enjoyed seeing new things. We went to a village called Lower Slaughter that had a really pretty stream running through it and we also went to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. I couldn't believe how many different kinds of animals there were! I'm not sure what my favourite animal is, but I did like watching the penguins a lot.

Weight Update

I said in my first post that I would tell you how much i weighed once Mummy took me to the clinic. Well, she took me yesterday and I weigh 13lbs 10oz. I wanted to put a picture of my chart on here for you to see, but it didn't work, so here is another picture of me instead.

My Friend

Even though I am not very old I already have a friend. Her name is Lauren. We were born on the same day. Our parents were in the same Parent Craft class, and her Mummy was in the induction room with my Mummy. It's nice to have someone who goes through the same things as me at the exact same time. We can't really play with each other yet, but I can't wait until we can. We're going to have a lot of fun together.

Welcome

My Mummy told me that there were lots of people that wanted to know what was happening with me, so I decided to start my own blog so I can keep everyone updated. Here's a little info about myself for those of you who might not know me. My name is Lois and I am currently 14 weeks old. I have brown hair and blue eyes. I'm not sure how much I weigh because Mummy only takes me to the clinic on the first Wednesday of every month, so I will let you know next time we go. My hobbies include: going on walks, playing with my baby gym, and sucking on my hand. Overall life is pretty good. My Mummy and Daddy take really good care of me and I love them a lot. I hope you will enjoy watching me grow.
